Measuring and cutting the panels:
Ideally, the several parts are measured using a cardboard. This enables a measurement of the panels geometry, even in areas which are generally difficult to access. After that the determined shape is transferred on the insulation panel which will be cut appropriately. We use an electric jigsaw, covered with a ground down saw blade to cut the parts. (You can buy this saw blade for all models (e.g. Bosch) from us). Of course, it is also possible to cut the panels with a carpet cutter; yet this would require a lot of strength, especially on our products with vibration absorption.
Surface:
To achieve an optimum adhesion or grip of the insulation panels on the specific surface it has to be dry and cleaned from any oil, fats or dust. An even surface (steel plate, aluminum, ground down GFRP or wood) allows a simple pressing of the insulation material on it. Here the product must be pressed once briefly with the highest possible pressure. In case the surface isn’t completely even, it is further possible to apply any customary construction adhesive with a spatula to the surface and to glue the insulation panel on it.
Installation:
Before fixing the panels, the open cut edges should be closed with our decorative tapes. This prevents an ingress of moisture and dirt into the non-woven and by that keeps them from tearing. Now, the insulation panels are held to the right place. Not until then the silicone paper on the back should be removed and the panel pressed on firmly against it. After placing all the panels as described, the fugues between them are measured with decor tape.
Holes:
Surface- A- products make it possible to insert holes for cable entries very cleanly with a hot-soldering iron. Glass fabric surfaced products allow holes by using a punch.
